Cullybackey College

On behalf of the Education Authority, welcome to the Digital Public Information Event for its plans to redevelop Cullybackey College on a new site on the Dreen Road, Cullybackey.
The proposal seeks to create a new 700 pupil post-primary school building, hard play areas, sports pitches, car parking, landscaping and associated site works on the Dreen Road site, on the outskirts of Cullybackey town. It also proposes road works to include a new roundabout, carriageway and pedestrian arrangements at Dreen Road and Cardonaghy Road junction.
You can view the proposed development plans for the proposal below and complete an online feedback form based on the information provided. The information contained on this website and the feedback forms provided are in addition to a public consultation event which will be held in Cullybackey College, 44 Pottinger Street, Cullybackey BT42 1BP on Thursday 14th May 2026, between 4pm and 7pm. Details of this event have been advertised in the local press and notification leaflets circulated within the vicinity of the proposed site.
This website provides an alternative public consultation platform to the event to be held in the existing school premises. The Education Authority would encourage all those with an interest in the proposal to leave their feedback below. Contact details of all respondents will be held confidentially and in line with GDPR regulations.

What Happens Next?
This digital public information event will close on Tuesday 28th May 2026 and any comments received up to that point in time will be considered by the design team. We would ask that comments are submitted either via the site or to Resolve Planning directly no later than this date. Once all of the feedback has been considered and any necessary changes made, the design team will proceed to submit a planning application to Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.
It is important to note that any feedback on this website is a representation to the applicant, and not to the planning department at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council directly. If a planning application is submitted, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time.
If you have any difficulty accessing the information on this website, any difficulty using the feedback form or require hard copies of the presentation, please contact Sarah McDowell at Resolve Planning.
